Reflecting on my decision to join AEDM after a long hiatus, it’s helped me learn that I don’t need large swaths of time to fit creativity in a day. Those small bits each day feed me more than I dared to admit. Plus, this applies to other things in my life that keep my feet steady as I navigate life.
Now onto the art.
It’s finished! I finally finished the Queen of the Cafeteria Ladies crown. I’ll hand it off today when I see her at work. Here’s the cartoon that inspired this nonsense. I had a vision & had to see it through even though it was totally hooeyish.
And here are a few photos taken of the crown & scepter. I moved from The Lair (my workroom) to the kitchen in an attempt to get a decent picture. I’ll see if our Queen of the Cafeteria Ladies is willing to pose for a picture which I’ll post tomorrow.
And lastly, I added more paint to the Gourd Trouble doll. When I’m finished, the body colors should come out like a starry night sky. Really. Really.
That’s all for today folks. It’s time to grab a bite to eat before I head to The Land of Lunch. Have a great day or evening & stay safe!
lol, interesting 🙂
Wow. It’s finished. I love it. How absolutely fun this is and you put so much into the gift, too. I hope she likes it as much as I do.
Your trouble doll is getting darker, but I’ll watch to see how it progresses, too. Take care and stay safe, dear.
The crown is hysterical. I hope the wearer enjoys it and has a great sense of humor. The fly swatters complete with flies-ha-ha-ha. Stay safe.
